Spotlight Speaker Joey Fink (he/him) will present Why Now? Choosing a Retirement Plan for Your Business.

As business owners focus on growing their businesses, oftentimes, the last thing they think about is saving for retirement. Many states have recently started rolling out legislation (including Maryland and Virginia in 2023) requiring small businesses to provide retirement benefit plans to their employees, making this month an ideal time to address your retirement planning.

This presentation will focus on

  • The ways retirement plans impact business owners
  • The value in saving money in a qualified retirement account
  • The key aspects of working with a financial planner

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Joey Fink joined The Bell Broseker Group at Morgan Stanley in 2022, bringing close to a decade of experience in the financial service industry with a Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC).

Fink returned to the Baltimore – Washington area after working for Lincoln Financial Group, first in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania followed by time in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During his 4 years in Minneapolis, Fink was a regional marketing director where he partnered with financial professionals in Minnesota, the Dakotas, and Iowa offering strategies to help reduce the impact of potential long-term care expenses on client assets.

Among various volunteer and leadership roles, Fink serves as an active alumnus as both a director of the Alumnae/i Association of Goucher College (AAGC) and a member of the Alumni Council of The Park School of Baltimore. Fink graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Goucher College where he was a two-time equestrian National Champion. In 2021, Fink was inducted into Goucher College’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Fink continues his family’s legacy as a third-generation financial advisor with Morgan Stanley.

Outside of the office, Fink can be found attending live musical theater performances, playing kickball with the Stonewall LGBT Sports League, or volunteering with The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore.

In addition to providing clients and their families with comprehensive financial planning advice, Fink is also responsible for developing and servicing corporate and institutional client relationships for The Bell Broseker Group. Born and raised in the community, Fink resides in the Harbor East neighborhood of Baltimore with his collection of over 100 bow ties.

Equality Chamber of Commerce and the Equality Chamber Foundation, in collaboration with TraxMethod, strive to serve its members and the business community by providing educational and informational seminars. Our goal is to gather experts in our community to discuss topics critical to small businesses and organizations.

We believe it is our responsibility to offer the community an opportunity to hear from experts so that they can make decisions based on the facts and facilitate factually-based discussions. We want to be a conduit through which the community can obtain information, drive discussions, and make their own decisions.

The Rise and Grind Speaker Series allows you to keep up on current events and topics of interest locally and regionally. Business owners, organizational leaders, HR professionals, marketers, and small businesses will find these topics helpful as they are designed to educate and inform about subjects that are relevant to your local business and non-profit community. In addition, business owners and organizational leaders can promote their business before the workday even begins. Also, these breakfasts focus on networking and give attendees the chance to exchange business cards and develop new prospects.
